According to Lakpa Sherpa, Managing Director and Expedition Leader at 8K Expeditions, Tashi Gyalzen Sherpa reached the summit point of Mt Everest for the third time in just 11 days this morning.
"Tashi Gyalzen climbed Everest on May 9, 14 and 19," Sherpa said, adding that he aimed to scale Mt Everest for the fourth time this season.
Among 15 climbers, Tsering Yangji Sherpa (YangChen), the general manager at 8K Expeditions, successfully scaled Mt Everest this morning.
"Tsering Yangji Sherpa (YangChen), Rabindra Tamang, Jazli Abraham Ezekiel Shafeeq, Van jung Truong, Ikramul Hasan Shakil, Mingma Dorchi Sherpa, Dawa Tenzi Sherpa, Pemba Sherpa, Pastenji Sherpa,Nurbu Sherpa, Mingma Dukpa Sherpa, Yangdi Lama Sherpa, Akkal Bahadur Bohora and Dawa Sange Sherpa and Tashi Gyalzen Sherpa from 8K Expeditions successfully claimed Mt Everest," Sherpa said.
The team is now safely descending to lower Camps carrying memories of breathtaking views and personal breakthroughs, according to him.
Meanwhile, Pemba Sherpa, Chairman at 8K Expeditions, shared that Vafa Kahraman has become the first Azerbaijani woman to summit Mt Everest and Mt Lhotse in a single season. Being part of the 8K team, she climbed Both mountains with Dawa Sherpa.
"Vafa scared Mt Everest on 15th May and Lhotse on May 17," Sherpa said.
