Tenzing-Hillary Airport shut due to bad weather since Saturday SOLUKHUMBU:Bad weather for the past four days has shut operations at the Tenzing-Hillary Airport in Lukla of Solukhumbu district. The Airport said no flight had been operated since Saturday due to the low visibility caused by thick fog. Tourists visiting the Everest region and locals have been affected due to the obstructions. Around 100 foreign tourists have been stuck in Lukla after the obstruction. On an average, around a dozen flights would operate to and from the Airport, according to the Tara Air Phaplu In-Charge Phunuru Sherpa.
