Toastmasters’ contest KATHMANDU:One district-level award and five out of six division-level awards were won by Nepali contestants in Toastmaster’s Evaluation and Humorous speech contests. Altogether 24 Toastmaster members from Nepal had participated in Resonance 2017 held at New Delhi between November 3 and 5, as per a media release. Both first position winners of humorous speech Toastmaster Seema Golchha and evaluation contest Toastmaster Diptee Acharya proceeded to district-level contest, in which 12 divisions from across India contested for district awards. In the finals, Golchha came second and bagged silver trophy. In evaluation contest, Toastmaster Acharya (Everest Toastmasters Club) was place, Toastmaster Prashant Shrestha (Himalaya Toastmasters Club) was second and Toastmaster Himanshu Joshi from Dehradun was third. In humorous speech contest, Toastmaster Golchha (Everest Toastmasters Club) was first, Toastmaster Manoj Basnet (Everest Toastmasters Club) was second and Toastmaster Rabindra Pradhan (Shangrila Toastmasters Club) was third.
