This Puran, the book on Hindu Mythology, shares about Lord Shiva and his place of residence in the Himalayas.
In the Himalayas, at the world's highest peak - Mount Everest, Lord Shiva is said to have performed all his human and divine activities.
Therefore, inauguration of Shiva Puran from the Mount Everest has been a sacred work and regardful function for the Hindus of the world.
Dr Badri Pokhrel translated Shiva Puran from Sanskrit to English and Nepali.
The English version of the book was inaugurated by Tsewang Kalden Sherpa and Nepali version was inaugurated by Lakpa Dendi Sherpa.
Translator and inaugurators along with Chairman of Thamserku Trekking and Expedition Sonam Sherpa, manager Anjan Rai and Nima Noru Sherpa who encouraged to furnish this work were grateful for their accomplishment.
