Bruce Davis Smith was rescued from Everest Camp-1, at an altitude of 19,931 ft to Everest base camp by Air Dynasty Helicopter this afternoon.
According to Bal Krishna Pandit, spokesperson of Air Dynasty Heli Services Pvt. Ltd, the mountaineer had some problem in his leg and required urgent rescue.
Smith's expedition has been arranged by Alpine Everest Guide Nepal Trek & Expedition Pvt. Ltd.
The rescue was conducted by Capt. Shashwot Dulal, (IP), an experienced pilot with many hours of rescue flights in the mountains.
The climber is undergoing treatment at the EBC clinic run by the Himalayan Rescue Association and Everest ER.
