White House, FW Taylor win Bhaktapur, December 5: Himalayan White House defeated Nightingale by 69 runs and FW Taylor outplayed Prime by nine wickets to enter the semi-finals of the FW Taylor Inter-college Cricket Tournament today. In the first quarter-final, man of the match Sharad Vesawkar scored a quick fire 81 off 54 balls and Bidhan Giri made 40 runs as White Hose scored 146/4 in 22 overs. Ashish Singh took 3-21 for Nightingale, whose innings folded for 77 runs in 20.3 overs in reply. Rakesh Yadav took 3-22 for White House. In the other match, man of the match Yashwant Subedi took four wickets as Prime were bowled out for 92 in 19.3 overs. In reply, FW Taylor skipper led his team to comfortable victory with unbeaten 44 off just 36 balls. Sanjay Shrestha scored 25 off 14 balls. Wednesday’s quarter-final matches pit Everest College vs Universal College and Bernhardt vs CCRC.
