Woman robbed of Rs 1 mln cash in broad daylight KATHMANDU: A woman was robbed of Rs one million from Gwarko of Lalitpur in broad daylight on Sunday. The 38-year-old Mina Tamang, a permanent resident of Lamjung district, currently residing in Basundhara of Kathmandu, was targeted by two robbers while she was walking on a street after withdrawing the amount from the Gwarko-based Everest Bank branch today, police said. Meanwhile, police arrested one Ram Bhandari (32) from Barhabise of Sindhupalchok district for his alleged involvement in the act. Police said they also seized Rs 500,000 cash from him. Police claimed another suspect, identified as Saroj Bhandari (29) from Sindhupalchok district, fled the scene with the equal amount of money. Police have launched a manhunt to nab him and are looking into the case.
